Volleyball star Ariana Mankus and All-America lacrosse player Garrett Thul were honored with Army's highest athletic honor on Friday afternoon when they were presented with the Army Athletic Association Award during the Awards Convocation as a part of graduation week festivities at Robinson Auditorium.

Army volleyball head coach Alma Kovaci announced the addition of former Alabama standout setter Brigitte Slack to her staff as an assistant coach on Tuesday morning. Slack comes to West Point with a diverse resume that also includes four years of overseas playing experience.

Sophomore setter Mary Vaccaro, the 2012 Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year, headlined a group of seven Army players and 71 student-athletes across the league named to this year's Patriot League Volleyball Academic Honor Roll.

Nearly a month after the season's end and the awards continue to pour in for senior Ariana Mankus. Recently tabbed an honorable mention All-American, the outside hitter added Eastern College Athletic Association (ECAC) Offensive Player of the Year plaudits on Wednesday afternoon.
