WEST POINT, N.Y. - Army head women's tennis coach Paul Peck announced his team's 2014 fall schedule Friday morning, highlighted by the 16-team West Point Open.
The Black Knights will split up for the first competition of the season, with team members heading to both the Quinnipiac Invite and the Stony Brook Invite from Sept. 12-14.
Army will return to West Point for the only home action of the season, hosting the West Point Invite from Sept. 26-28. Fifteen teams are slated to visit, including; the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Stony Brook, the University of Massachusetts, the University of Connecticut, Seton Hall, Syracuse, St. Peters, Lehigh, Long Island University, Quinnipiac, Fairleigh Dickson, Marist, St. Bonaventure, Albany and Drexel.
The following week, the Black Knights will travel to Middlebury for the Middlebury Invitational in their final competition before the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regionals, hosted by Yale Oct. 17-19.
The fall schedule will wrap up with Army heading to the Lehigh Invite from Oct. 24-26.
The Black Knights return three seniors to a relatively young squad. They'll also rely on four juniors and five sophomores to lead an impressive six-member group of freshmen.
