CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Reigning Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year Jamila Paul of Army headlined a group of six Black Knights to earn Patriot League Academic Honor Roll status on Tuesday morning. The Patriot League champion Black Knights' six honorees marked the most citations for the program since 2009.

To be eligible for the spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.

"I'm tremendously proud of all of our athletes who shined both on the court and in the classroom this season," said head coach Paul Peck. "These individuals are a testament to all that West Point stands for and are fantastic representatives of our program."

Paul became the fifth player in Army history to be named Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year. A three-time first team all-league performer, Paul is a Life Science major tracking for pre-med and authored a 3.456 cumulative GPA. She has been named to the honor roll all three seasons at West Point.

Recently commissioned Second Lieutenant Erin Colton garnered an honor roll mention for the third time. A first team All-Patriot League and Academic All-League selection, Colton graduated with a degree in Systems Management and carried a 3.715 GPA in the spring semester, which was highest mark of any player on the team.

Fellow graduate Holly Pappafotis closed out her career with an honor roll certificate for the first time. Pappafotis held a 3.263 GPA and graduated with a degree in Engineering Management. In addition, sophomore Elle Taylor's 3.658 GPA in Systems Engineering earned her a first honor roll mention. A Redondo Beach, Calif., native, Taylor joined Colton and Paul on the Academic All-Patriot League team this spring.

Rounding out the Black Knights' listing, rookies Haley O'Connor and Kelly Daniel both posted over a 3.50 GPA in their first year on the banks of the Hudson. O'Connor carried a 3.547 in her first season, while Daniel posted a 3.687.
