WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army women's tennis team will split duties as half the team travels to Colgate for the Black Knights' fourth Patriot League match and the other half remains home for a non-conference test against Manhattan. Both will take place on Friday, March 29.

Army is looking to rebound from a 7-0 setback at Syracuse on Wednesday afternoon. The loss snapped an eight-match win streak, but did not tarnish the Black Knights unblemished (3-0) Patriot League record. Army swept Holy Cross, Lafayette and Lehigh last weekend to open conference play on top of the standings.

Army has not yielded a single point to Colgate since 2008. That includes meeting the last three seasons in both the regular season and Patriot League Tournament. The Black Knights hold a 25-10 lead in an all-time series that dates back to 1985. The Raiders are 9-3 on the season and 1-1 in league play. Colgate's loss came against Navy last Sunday.

Head coach Paul Peck's club is undefeated in six meetings with Manhattan since 1991. The team's last met at Lichtenberg Tennis Center last spring in what was a 6-1 Army victory. Manhattan is 3-8 overall this season and 1-1 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action.

While Wednesday's midweek match ended a handful of individual win streaks, some will remain intact. Junior Jamila Paul and freshman Carolyn Pitman have won their last five singles matches and hold the longest win streaks in that area. Pitman and junior Margaret Iliev are riding a five-match doubles win streak, as is rookies Eva Sung and Haley O'Connor.

Paul and senior co-captain Erin Colton lead the team in doubles wins with 15, while freshman Gabriella Spindler paces the singles lineup with a 20-7 mark.
