WEST POINT, N.Y. - After closing out its regular-season Patriot League schedule sweeping Lafayette last weekend to finish second in the conference standings (12-8), Army (30-20) has a busy slate this weekend in closing out the non-league portion of its schedule.

The Black Knights visit Albany for a twinbill Wednesday at 3 p.m. and hosts Fairleigh Dickinson in a doubleheader on Saturday with first pitch at 1 p.m. Live stats for all four contests will be available via GameTracker by logging onto Army's official athletics website (www.goARMYsports.com) and navigating to the softball page.

There will be live video streamed broadcast of the FDU doubleheader Saturday on Knight Vision, Army's subscription-based multimedia platform. In-game Twitter updates will also be offered via the official Twitter handle (@Army_WSoftball).

The Black Knights open the week taking on the Great Danes, a member of the America East Conference. Albany and Army have compiled 30-win marks and are among the leaders in their conferences.

Army has won 11 of its last 12 games and is currently in the midst of a season-long six-game win streak. The Black Knights show a .284 team batting average, a .974 fielding percentage and a 2.75 team ERA to rank first in the conference in the first two and second in the latter. The Black Knights list 17th in the latest NCAA statistics in fielding percentage and 23rd in double plays per game (0.42).

Amanda Nguyen continues to lead Army's offense with a .387 batting average (which ranks second in the league), 72hits and 29 stolen bases, while sharing the lead in runs scored (41) with Kasey McCravey. Nationally, Nguyen is ranked 29th in stolen bases (0.58).

Alex Reynolds, the reigning league's Player of the Week, is batting .365 and leads the team in runs batted in (39) and doubles (14). She shares first place in home runs (four) with McCravey, who is batting .329 with 57 hits. Reynolds ranks 66th nationally in doubles per game (0.29).

Morgan Lashley, who earned her second Patriot League Pitcher of the Week award after hurling Army to five of its six wins last week, continues to impress in the circle. She ranks first in the league in wins (24), strikeouts (168), innings pitched (238), appearances (36) and starts (33), and lists third in ERA (2.29). Nationally, Lashley is ranked 11th in wins and 67th in strikeouts.

Ranked first in the America East Conference, Albany (30-11, 13-1 AE) had its 10-game win streak snapped by UConn after its rally fell short in a 10-6 loss over the weekend. The Great Danes, who will look to wrap up the regular-season conference title this weekend, are batting .276 with 178 RBI and 202 runs scored.

Annie Johnson leads the team batting .359 with 42 hits and 35 stolen bases. Charlise Castro has 35 hits and 27 RBI batting .313 with Maggie Cock the leader in RBI (33) and doubles (12) and third in hits (36). Johnson is ranked No. 2 nationally in stolen bases per game (0.88).

Brittany MacFawn, awarded her fourth America East Conference Pitcher of the Week citation, shows a 2.06 ERA with 11 shutouts and 228 strikeouts compiling a 21-6 mark over 192.1 innings. She is ranked 28th nationally in wins, 30th in ERA and 19th in strikeouts.

Based on both team's statistics, offensively and defensively, it could be a very exciting doubleheader as well as a pitcher's duel between Lashley and MacFawn. The Great Danes hold an 8-3 lead in the all-time series. The last time the teams met was in 2006 in Albany with the host team sweeping the twinbill, 6-0 and 2-0. Army's last win was a 2-0 shutout at home in the first game of a doubleheader in 2005 with Albany winning the nightcap, 8-1.

Army holds a 13-6 lead in its series with FDU that began in 1986. Last year the teams split with the Black Knights winning the nightcap, 4-0, after bowing 1-0 in 10 innings in the opener.

In its last outing, Fairleigh Dickinson split a double header at Wagner College on Sunday in closing out its Northeast Conference schedule. The Knights (22-20, 10-10 NEC) defeated the Seahawks, 5-1, before falling, 4-3, in a 10-inning battle. Saturday's twinbill at West Point is FDU's 2013 regular-season finale.
