WEST POINT, N.Y. - Weekly honors continue to roll in for Army sophomore RHP Morgan Lashley, who was selected as the ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday. Lashley pitched the Black Knights (11-10) to all four wins over the weekend posting a microscopic 0.67 ERA after being touched for just two runs in 21.0 innings.

It is third honor this week for the Davidson, N.C., native after being tabbed the Patriot League Pitcher of the Week and College Sports Madness Patriot League Player of the Week on Monday. It is the first ECAC honor for an Army player this spring, and the second time Lashley has been selected.

Lashley pitched 14 scoreless innings in Army's first three games over the weekend as the Black Knight ace scattered eight hits, struck out 10 and issued just two walks starting with the sweep of St. Peter's (10-0 (6), 8-1) and the first game against Rider (11-3 (6)) before being touched for a pair of runs in a 4-2 come-from-behind nightcap win over the Broncs.

Lashley scattered four hits, struck out four and walked none over five innings in sharing a shutout in the blanking of St. Peter's in the opener, then threw a two-hitter with four strikeouts and one walk over five innings in the nightcap decision.

The next day the Army hurler tossed a nifty two-hitter, struck out two and walked one over four scoreless innings in the Rider opener. Lashley went the distance on a two-hitter in the nightcap, striking out five and walking two. After being touched for both hits and a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth inning in the second game, she closed the door on the Broncs retiring 10 straight batters in collecting her 10th win of the season and career 43rd to move into second place on Army's career chart. In the latest national rankings, Lashley lists 70th in wins.

The Black Knights make their home debut Wednesday hosting Marist in opening an eight-game slate at the Army Softball Complex. First pitch is at 3 p.m. and the games will be covered on Knight Vision with Heath Trabue calling play-by-play.
