Haley Outon's leadoff home run in the top of the fifth ignited a four-run rally as Houston erased a one-run deficit, and Bailey Watts threw shutout ball to record the save in a 7-5 defeat of Army (35-26) in an elimination game at the 2013 NCAA Austin Regional Tournament hosted by Texas at McCombs Field Saturday afternoon.

Freshman third baseman Kasey McCravey went 2-for-3 at the plate, and Morgan Lashley denied No. 4 Texas from mercying Army as the Longhorns were forced to play seven innings in a 5-0 opening-round win at the NCAA Austin Regional Friday evening at McCombs Field.

The Army softball team left West Point on a chartered bus at 4 a.m. Thursday morning, May 16, and though the players and staff were tired after getting just a few hours of sleep, everyone was excited about the upcoming trip to the NCAA Austin Regional
