Brian Pincince is in his first season as an assistant coach on interim head coach Fred Thompson's staff. He arrives at West Point after serving the past two years on the staff at Brown.

A volunteer assistant on the Brown women's soccer staff in 2010 under his father, head coach Phil Pincince, the 13th-winningest coach in NCAA Division I history, he was named an assistant coach last year. Pincince was instrumental in the Bears compiling the most wins since 2003 in closing out the year with a 10-5-2 mark. Five members of the 2011 squad earned all-Ivy League honors along with an NSCAA All-Region selection, while two were named to the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association Team.

Pincince broke into the coaching ranks with the New England Wave girls' premier soccer club in 2009 where he served as head coach and assistant coach over a four-year span. He also was an assistant girls' varsity soccer coach and middle school basketball coach during a one-year stint (2009) as a Physical Education instructor at the Lincoln School in Providence, R.I. Prior to that, he worked as a program marketing manager with CompuCall, Inc., in North Attleboro, Mass.

A 2008 graduate of St. Anselm College with a bachelor of arts degree in business, Pincince played varsity ball for the Hawks.

Last year he was the assistant camp director at the Brown Soccer School Summer Camp where he spent 12 years on the staff serving as camp coach, field director and counselor.

Pincince, who acquired his NSCAA National Coaching License in 2010 and the NSCAA Advanced National Coaching License in 2012, will live in Fort Montgomery, N.Y.
