ARMY-LOYOLA SERIES
The Black Knights and Greyhounds have played each other four times previously with Loyola prevailing in three of those meetings, including 2011’s four-point victory in Baltimore, Md. The series originated in 2008, as all four games have been played under the direction of both teams’ current head coaches - Dave Magarity at Army and Joe Logan at Loyola. The Black Knights are 1-1 on their home court against the Greyhounds and 1-0 when coming off a loss. 2009-10 - Loyola, 63-48 - Baltimore, Md.

LAST TIME OUT
Despite all five starters scoring in double figures, Army had its seven-game winning streak snapped at Rider on Friday evening with a 66-60 setback to the Broncs. Junior Jen Hazlett had a team-best 15 points for Army but the Black Knights’ comeback bid proved to be unsuccessful against a Rider squad which controlled the paint. The Black Knights came out with the hot hand, making seven of their first 11 shots to grab an early lead. Army went up by its largest lead of the game, 18-8, off a Hazlett layup with 11:41 remaining, forcing Rider to spend its first timeout of the game. The Broncs came out of the timeout firing, blazing to a 20-0 run which spanned over six minutes. Rider held on to the lead built during that span until the final buzzer. UP NEXT
Army will play its final game prior to a 17-day break for Term-End Exam (TEE) week and the holidays on Thursday when Division III foe U.S. Merchant Marine Academy travels to West Point. The Black Knights and Mariners last squared off in 2008 when Army earned a 52-point victory (90-38). USMMA is currently 4-3, having lost two straight.
