Minato Notches Army-Record 49 Points In Loss To Holy Cross
Sophomore Kelsey Minato scored an Academy-record 49 points during the Army women's basketball team's 92-85 Patriot League loss to Holy Cross on Wednesday evening at Christl Arena.

Saturday marks the Black Knights' fourth trip to the Patriot League title game, and first since winning the conference crown in 2006. Each of Army's previous league championship contests have come against Holy Cross (1991, 2001, 2006).

THE ARMY-HOLY CROSS SERIES
Saturday will mark the 51st meeting between Army and Holy Cross, with the Crusaders holding a 32-18 all-time record in the series, including a 5-2 mark in the postseason. The teams split a pair of games this year, with the Black Knights collecting a 70-57 victory on Jan. 15, and the Crusaders taking a 92-85 decision on Feb. 12.

LAST TIME OUT
No. 2 Army led for nearly the entire game in its 68-55 win over No. 3 American in the Patriot League Semifinals on March 10. The Black Knights shot 22-of-50 (44.0 percent) from the field after going 16-of46 (34.8 percent) in their quarterfinal win over Boston University on March 6. Army led by 14 early in the second half, but American managed to cut the lead to just two points with 5:16 remaining in the game. The Black Knights received three-pointers from senior Jen Hazlett and sophomore Brianna Johnson on their next two possessions to begin an 18-7 run to close the game. Hazlett notched her second-straight double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while sophomore Kelsey Minato chipped in 14 points to extend her double-digit scoring streak to 47 contests. Johnson added 11 points, and junior Olivia Schretzman totaled 10 points and five boards. Sophomore Jean Parker finished with nine points off the bench after shooting 3-of-6 from three-point range.
