Sophomore Kelsey Minato scored a career-high 30 points while netting an Academy-record 15 free-throws to lead the Army women's basketball team to a 62-45 win over Colgate in Patriot League action on Wednesday evening at Christl Arena.

WEST POINT, N.Y. - After going 4-1 during its five-game homestand, the Army women's basketball team will be on the road Wednesday, Feb. 19 to face Colgate in a 7 p.m. contest. Wednesday will be the Black and Gold's first venture away from home court since Jan. 25.

Army earned a season split in its series with Bucknell after topping the Bison, 75-63, on Feb. 18. Sophomore Kelsey Minato scored a game-high 29 points to extend her double-digit scoring streak to 40 contests, while two other Black Knights finished in double figures.

THE ARMY-COLGATE SERIES
Army and Colgate will meet for the 56th time on Wednesday in a rivalry that dates back to 1984. The Black Knights own a 34-21 all-time advantage, and earned a 62-45 win earlier this season on Jan. 22. Army has collected six wins in the last eight meetings between the schools, but fell to Colgate in two out of three games a year ago.

LAST TIME OUT
Army used a hot shooting night to earn a split in its season series with Bucknell, topping the Bison, 75-63, on Feb. 15. The Black Knights were successful on 26-of-52 attempts (50.0 percent) from the field, marking the third time this year they have shot at least 50 percent (12/7 at Yale, 61.7 percent; 1/15 at Holy Cross, 50.9 percent). Minato scored a game-high 29 points on 9-of-16 shooting and 10-of-12 free-throw shooting while adding six assists, and classmate Aimee Oertner totaled 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting and tied her season high of nine rebounds. Junior Krishawn Tillett netted a career-high 10 points to lead an Army bench that scored 22 points, the second-most by the reserves all season (44 points vs. Staten Island, 12/29). Senior Jen Hazlett added eight points and six rebounds in 17 minutes of action.

UP NEXT
The Black Knights will return home for the last time in the regular season to face American on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 3 p.m. Army will hold a Senior Day celebration prior to the game.
