WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army women’s basketball team will host Lehigh in a 7 p.m. Patriot League contest on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at Christl Arena.

Army improved to 10-3 this season with a 66-62 overtime win at Loyola on Jan. 5. Sophomore Kelsey Minato scored a career-high 29 points, including the final six in overtime, to extend her double-digit scoring streak to 29 games, while senior Jen Hazlett recorded 10 points and six rebounds. Junior Olivia Schretzman controlled a career-high-tying 15 rebounds, helping the Black Knights to a 42-29 rebounding advantage over the Greyhounds.

THE ARMY-LEHIGH SERIES
Army is 25-28 all-time versus Lehigh. The Black Knights topped the Mountain Hawks in both meetings last season, collecting victories of 61-56 (Feb. 2) and 62-62 (March 2). Army head coach Dave Magarity is 7-7 in regular-season contests against Lehigh.

LAST TIME OUT
Army shot under 40 percent from the field for the second game in a row, but rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit to pick up a 66-62 overtime win at Loyola on Jan. 5. The Black Knights connected on 39.0 percent of their field goals in the contest, but shot at a 44.0-percent clip in the second half. Sophomore Kelsey Minato netted a career-high 29 points against the Greyhounds, including the game’s final six points. Minato’s scoring output raised her double-digit scoring streak to 29 games. Junior Olivia Schretzman equaled her career high of 15 rebounds opposite Loyola, including five on the offensive glass. Senior Jen Hazlett finished with 10 points and six rebounds, including a crucial five points in the overtime period.
