Erin Mills made her way to West Point in mid-August 2009 after a successful playing career at nearby Fairleigh Dickinson and two assistant coaching stops on the collegiate level. Mills coaches the guards with associate head coach Colleen Mullen, while also focusing her efforts on scheduling, academics and compliance at West Point.

The backcourt was impressive during Army's 2012-13 Patriot League regular-season championship campaign, as two guards brought home All-Patriot League first-team honors, marking the first time in program history Army earned multiple first-team nods.

Senior Anna Simmers was a unanimous selection while freshman Kelsey Minato earned a spot on the five-person squad while also making conference history by being tabbed both the Player and Rookie of the Year.

The Black Knights' long-range shooters had their most successful season under Mills' watch in 2012-13. The Black Knights' success rate beyond the arc was their highest since 2008-09, while their 158 triples are the most Army has made since 2004-05.

A native of Wilmington, Del., Mills came to West Point following a two-year stint as the top assistant at Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, N.J. While at Bloomfield, Mills aided the Lady Deacons in a wealth of specific areas outside of mere player development. She cultivated recruiting efforts, served as scouting coordinator, oversaw film exchange, served as conditioning coordinator and the team's academic liaison. In addition to holding down a collegiate coaching position, Mills worked as an assistant coach at Pascack Hills High School in Montvale, N.J., for the 2007-08 season. She was also a high school history teacher in the Pascack school system, along with serving as the head coach of the Pascack softball team.

Prior to her time at Bloomfield, Mills was in a similar position at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa., for the 2006-07 season. In addition to the positions that she occupied at Bloomfield, Mills fulfilled the title of recruiting coordinator, NCAA compliance coordinator, orientation liaison for new student-athletes and home game coordinator. She also assisted with all aspects of team travel and handled the 2007 Laker Basketball Camp.

Mills' New Jersey roots run deep as she spent her undergraduate and graduate years at Fairleigh Dickinson in Teaneck, N.J. A four-year letterwinner on the hardwood for the Knights, Mills was the designated captain for the 2004-05 season during which time she led the Knights in assists (2.4 per game). She also played two seasons as a center fielder and lefty slapper for the Knights' softball team.

Mills graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and earned a Master of Arts in education for Certified Teachers one year later. A standout inside the classroom, Mills was a Northeast Conference Scholar-Athlete in all eight semesters of her playing career. She also made the dean's list, graduated magna cum laude and was active in Phi Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta Pi, Alpha Beta and the National Collegiate Athletic Honor Society.

In addition to her coaching and playing career, Mills served as director of the Riverdale Hoop Academy, a basketball clinic that drew 75 girls ranging from the ages of 7-16. She was also a Riverdale U16 and U12 AAU head coach from 2006-2009.
