Plenty of playoff implications loom for the Army women's basketball team, which hosts Patriot League foe Holy Cross on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m.

With the hype of playoff implications looming for Wednesday's Patriot League women's basketball game between Army and Holy Cross at Christl Arena, the Black Knights will also host Fan Appreciation Night. Every fan in attendance will have the opportunity to enter a free raffle with a chance to win plenty of high-end prizes.

Junior guard Anna Simmers paced Army with 19 points and a career-high 12 rebounds, while freshman forward Olivia Schretzman added 12 points, but Army was unable to solve undefeated regular-season champion American in a 54-48 loss in Patriot League women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon at Bender Arena.

Sitting in a tie for second place in the Patriot League standings, the Army women's basketball team has a golden opportunity to avenge a 40-39 loss to American in late January when the team visits Bender Arena to face the Eagles Saturday afternoon in Washington, D.C.
