WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army men's tennis team takes its five-match winning streak on the road with a pair of Patriot League contests this weekend. The Black Knights travel to Lehigh on Saturday before heading to Loyola on Sunday. Both matches are scheduled for 11 a.m.

Army (13-4, 3-0 Patriot League) last played on March 30, posting a 6-1 win over Fairfield. Five Black Knights posted singles wins in the match, including junior Alex Van Velzer, sophomores Caison Best and Harrison McCormick and freshman Sam Lampman, who all won in straight sets.

Army swept doubles play, as the pairings of McCormick and freshman Grant Riechmann, Van Velzer and senior Asika Isoh, and Best and Lampman managed victories at the first, second and third flights, respectively.

The Black Knights have received double-digit singles wins from Lampman (12-2) and Riechmann (11-4), while Van Velzer is third on the team with an 8-4 record. McCormick and Riechmann have partnered for a team-leading 9-2 doubles mark, and sophomore Austin McCasin and freshman Kyle Barnes are second at 8-3.

Lehigh (8-5, 0-0) will open its Patriot League schedule against Army on Saturday after last weekend's match at Loyola was postponed. The Mountain Hawks' last outing resulted in a 5-2 setback against Temple on March 20. Lehigh claimed the doubles point after wins from senior Mark Goldberg and junior Mitchell Petersen, and junior Ben Gilman and sophomore Jeremy Kochman, but Gilman was the lone Mountain Hawk to post a victory in singles play.

Loyola (6-3, 1-0) is coming off a 4-3 win over Lafayette on March 29. After falling into a 1-0 hole after doubles action, the Greyhounds rallied back, earning decisions in four of the six singles matches. Sophomores Alex Castro, Jordan Kuchta, Greg Olesnycky and Connor Pietrak notched singles wins for Loyola.

Army is 41-3 all-time against Lehigh and will face Loyola for the first time.

The Black Knights are back on the court on Saturday, April 12, when they travel to Navy for the annual "Star" Match at 1 p.m.
