Originally scheduled to be played in Waterbury, Conn., the contest was moved to West Point due to Post's construction of a new multipurpose turf field.

Army In Series Openers
Friday's meeting between Army and Post marks the first game between the two programs. The Eagles joined the CSFL in 2010, playing four games in their inaugural season, earning a 1-3 mark. Against the other five conference teams, Army is 4-0-1 in series openers. In 1957, Army defeated Cornell (48-0), Navy (7-0) and Penn (46-6) while tying Princeton (21-21) to kick off its first season of lightweight football. The Black Knights faced league newcomer Mansfield for the first time in 2009, winning 42-0 at the Allegiance Bowl in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

All-Time Notes
Now in its 55th season, Army is 268-69-3 (.793) all-time, including 189-64-3 (.744) against current CSFL members. Midway through their second season, the Eagles own a 3-5 (.375) all-time mark with all eight contests coming against league foes, including a 25-20 victory at Cornell in the 2011 season opener.

Another Week, Another Honor
The Black Knights have had their presence felt in the CSFL weekly awards, earning a recognition following every game this season. Most recently, senior wide receiver Ben Johnson was tabbed Special Teams Player of the Week following a momentum-shifting 68-yard kickoff return at Cornell late in the first quarter. Down 10-0, Army scored three straight touchdowns following the kickoff to pull ahead and never look back.

Prior to Johnson's Week 5 certificate, junior wide receiver Cody Nyp collected Offensive Player of the Week accolades following Weeks 3 and 4, while sophomore wide receiver Tom Jeffers earned the offensive honor after Week 1.

Army's Next Game
The Black Knights will play their second straight home contest next Friday when the other 2010 CSFL Co-Champion Penn Quakers come to West Point. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at Shea Stadium.
