Army Drops Overtime Heartbreaker To Colgate
Mike Reidy tallied the game-winning goal less than two minutes into the first overtime as Colgate defeated Army, 1-0, in a Patriot League men's soccer match Saturday evening at Clinton Field.

Army (7-1-1, 2-0-0 PL) is led offensively by freshman forward Ethan Spivack (three goals), while classmates Christian Ollen and Nick Williams each have a pair of goals and an assist. Nine other players have scored once for the Black Knights, including junior Sean Mogan, sophomore Cody Guerry and freshman Alex Jaroscak, who have each tallied a goal and two assists. Junior goalkeeper Winston Boldt leads the Patriot League in goal against average (.520) and save percentage (.891). Boldt's seven shutouts on the year are the most by a Black Knight keeper since Jeremy Pamplin had seven clean sheets in 1996.

Colgate (2-7-1, 1-0-1) is paced up front by freshmen Zach Pagani and Geinda Smith, who each have a pair of markers on the season. Three other Raiders have scored, while freshmen goalkeeper Ricky Brown has two wins and a shutout in eight appearances.

Army holds a 32-24-5 all-time record against Colgate in a series that dates back to 1921. The Raiders topped the Black Knights, 1-0, in overtime during last season's meeting.

After Wednesday, Army is on the road to face Patriot League newcomer Loyola for the first time on Saturday, Oct. 12.
