WEST POINT, N.Y. - Fifteen Army men's soccer players earned a spot on the Dean's List for their academic performance during the Fall 2011 semester.

In order to qualify for the Dean's List, students must accrue a grade point average of 3.000 or higher. More than half of the players on Army's roster (15 of 28) earned the prestigious distinction, led by seniors Kris French (3.072), Cameron Jarvis (3.000), Blaz Marolt (3.333) Carson McReynolds (3.732) and Tanner Robertson (3.555).

That quintet of seniors was joined by juniors Michal Fiuk (3.888), Mitch Johnson (4.206) and Josh Koeppe (3.104); sophomores Jason Lewis (3.195) and Alex Pfister (3.043); and freshmen Winston Boldt (3.678), Vince Kennedy (3.000), John Marinelli (3.616), Sean Mogan (3.020) and David Rouleau (3.160).

Robertson and Johnson were both named to the Patriot League All-Academic Team for the second straight season, while Koeppe earned a spot on the All-Patriot League second team.

Army finished the 2011 campaign with a 7-10-1 overall record (2-4-1 PL). The Black Knights' seven victories are the most since the 2007 team won nine games. Army's two Patriot League wins are the most since the 2006 Black Knights won three conference contests. Army's sixth-place finish in the Patriot League standings is its highest since placing fifth in 2006. Army accumulated seven points in conference games, the highest total for the Black Knights since the Patriot League adopted the points system beginning in 2007.
