Lacrosse Fans Encouraged To Arrive Early For Army-Navy Saturday

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Lacrosse fans are highly encouraged to arrive early for this Saturday’s showdown between No. 18 Army and service-academy rival Navy at Michie Stadium. Face-off on CBS Sports Network will be 2:07 p.m. ET, but there are plenty of pregame activities for fans to take part in prior to the contest.

Due to a number of events being held at West Point on Saturday, please arrive early to allow plenty of time to get through the West Point gates and to your seats. All vehicles are subject to inspection and all passengers 16 years of age and older must present a photo ID upon gate arrival.

Click here for the game day parking map. Large groups should enter West Point through Stony Lonesome Gate. Shuttle bus service will begin at 12 p.m.

Fans that have not yet purchased their tickets are encouraged to do so in advance, as all seats will be reserved as opposed to general admission. Utilizing the print-at-home and mobile ticket options is encouraged. Click here for tickets or call 19-877-TIX-ARMY.

Tickets will also be available on game day. Ticket widows and booths, located on the east side of Michie Stadium at Gates 1 and 3, will open at 12 p.m. on Saturday. Prepaid Will Call Tickets may be picked up at the Army Athletic Ticket Office located at Gate 3 beginning at noon. Army player guest passes can be picked up at Gate 3 of Michie Stadium starting at 12:30 p.m.

The Michie Stadium gates will open at 12:30 p.m. Gates 1, 3 and 7 will be used as entry points.

Black Knights Alley – 12 p.m.-2 p.m.
Black Knights Alley, Army’s popular game day fanfest, opens at 12 p.m. and will be located behind the southwest corner of Michie Stadium in front of the Holleder Center. The event will feature live music, inflatables for kids, food and beverage, face painting, interactive sports and more. Black Knights Alley will run for two hours, ending at 2 p.m.

Parachute Demonstration – 1:45 p.m.
A fan favorite, the West Point Parachute Team is set to jump from a helicopter approximately 15 minutes prior to faceoff and land minutes later onto midfield. The demonstration is weather permitting.

Senior Day – 1:55 p.m.
The eleven members of the Army Lacrosse Class of 2014 and their families will be honored on the field as a part of Senior Day festivities.

Ceremonial Coin Toss – 2:01 p.m.
Team captains from both teams will take part in a ceremonial coin toss. A team member from Army’s 1959 and 1969 national championship teams will be on hand to participate in the coin toss.

1959 and 1969 National Championship Teams Recognition – Halftime
Members of two of the most celebrated teams in program history will be honored at halftime as members of the 1959 and 1969 national championship teams are honored at halftime. Both clubs defeated Navy in the final game of the regular season to earn a share of the national titles.

Alma Maters
The playing of the Navy Blue and Gold and the West Point Alma Mater will be done following the game. Fans should remain in their seats until the conclusion of this time-honored tradition.
