WEST POINT, N.Y. - On the heels of a 6-5 win over then-nationally ranked Lehigh on Saturday afternoon, the Army lacrosse team jumped back into the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Coaches Poll on Monday afternoon. The Black Knights snuck in at No. 20, while continuing to receive votes in the Warrior Media Poll.

Army last earned a national ranking, once again landing No. 20 in the USILA poll, on March 3.

The Black Knights' victory over Lehigh moved the team into a tie with No. 17/19 Colgate for second place in the Patriot League standings with identical 3-1 conference marks. They both trail Loyola (4-0), which catapulted to the nation's No. 1 team in both national polls on Monday.

In addition to its national ranking, Army continues to lead the nation in scoring defense, yielding 5.5 goals per game. The Black Knights’ man-down unit lands second nationally with a .824 percentage.

Junior goalie Sam Somers also ranks No. 1 in the NCAA with a 5.36 goals-against average. The Wilton, Conn., native comes in third with a .617 save percentage.

In search of a second-straight win, Army remains at Michie Stadium to host Patriot League foe Bucknell this Saturday, March 29, at noon. The Bison are off to a 5-4 start to the year, including a 3-2 mark in Patriot League action following a 7-3 win over Boston University on Saturday afternoon in Lewisburg, Pa.
