WEST POINT, N.Y. -
One of the most unique and fierce rivalries in all of college hockey will unfold on national television as Army hosts Air Force on Friday, Jan. 10, on CBS Sports Network. In a deal announced by Atlantic Hockey Commissioner Robert DeGregorio Tuesday morning, the Black Knights and Falcons will faceoff at 6 p.m. at Tate Rink as one of two AHA games picked up by the network for the 2013-14 season.
Army and Air Force are no strangers to the spotlight, as at least one game in each of the last seven seasons has appeared on CBSSN. The other contest will feature RIT taking on Niagara on Friday, Jan. 24, at 7:00 p.m.
"CBS Sports Network is a great supporter of college hockey and we are honored to once again be chosen as one of the Atlantic Hockey games they will air," said Army head coach Brian Riley. "We are grateful to the folks at CBS Sports Network for opting to broadcast what I believe is one of the best rivalries in the country. Our experiences with CBS Sports Network have been wonderful and this is a tremendous opportunity for our fans and soldiers across the globe to catch the Black Knights."
