WEST POINT, N.Y. - Freshman forward C.J. Reuschlein led all Army players with four points on two goals and as many assists last week and was rewarded with Atlantic Hockey Association Travel Team USA Rookie of the Week honors on Tuesday morning.
Reuschlein authored a career-best three-point performance in last Saturday night's 5-4 overtime setback at second-place Bentley. He got the Black Knights on the board in both games opposite the Falcons last week and assisted on Army's final two goals Saturday night to help send the game into overtime.
The Flint, Mich., native has played in all but one game and is the first Army player to pick up AHA weekly honors this season. Reuschlein leads the Black Knights with 17 points on 10 goals and seven assists this season. His 10 goals tie three others in the league for the most goals by an AHA rookie in 2013-14.
Sophomore forward Joe Kozlak tallied three points against Bentley, including a career-high two goals Saturday night, en route to AHA honorable mention laurels this week.
