CENTER VALLEY, Pa.  – On the strength of winning the Service Academy Classic, Army junior golfer Anthony Kim was named the Patriot League Golfer of the Month. The October winner was announced by the league on Thursday.

Kim earned his first Golfer of the Month accolade after placing in three events in October.

The Los Angeles, Calif., native fired a one-over-par 217 to win the Service Academy Classic at Trump National in Colts Neck, N.J., the second time he has won that event. Kim tied for 14th at the Hummingbird Intercollegiate last week and was tied for 47th at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate.

During his three competitions, Kim had two rounds under par and two rounds at even par and helped Army share the team title with Air Force at the Service Academy Classic, the first time since 1994 that the Black Knights finished first. In his eight rounds, he was a combined 10-over-par.

Kim closed with a two-under-par 70 to win the Service Academy Classic.
