WEST POINT, N.Y. - Army freshman golfer Peter Kim begins competition in the NCAA Regionals on Thursday at 9:50 a.m. CT at the Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas.

By virtue of finishing atop the leader board at Patriot League Championships on April 27, Kim earns an automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals. He becomes the first Black Knight to reach the NCAAs since William Park in 2012.

Army fans can follow Kim’s tournament through live scoring provided by the NCAA.

Kim is set to join nine other golfers in San Antonio on Thursday to begin a 54-hole tournament, which is set to conclude Saturday, May 17. Briggs Ranch Golf Club, a par-72, 7,206-yard course, will also host 13 teams over the three days of competition.

Kim will tee off at 9:50 a.m. CT and will be paired with Louisiana Tech's Victor Lange and Columbia's Tharusyan Pillay, who qualified with his team.

Kim is one of 45 golfers who will compete as an individual at the NCAAs. He will play in a group of 10 golfers, while the remaining 35 competitors will be spread out over the other five regional sites. Eugene, Ore., and Raleigh, N.C., will also host 10 individuals, while Auburn, Ala., Columbia, Mo., and Sugar Grove, Ill., will welcome five.

The lowest scoring five teams and the low individual not part of an advancing team from each of the six regionals will all participate in the NCAA Championships at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan. The 30-team, six-individual field will begin competition on May 23.
