Lafayette Invitational Results
EASTON, Pa. - Robby Hill and Marcus Plunkett each shot a 74 as Army wrapped up competition at the Lafayette Invitational, Tuesday at Northampton Country Club.
Army tied for fifth following its second consecutive 305 at the par-72, 6,393-yard layout.
Lehigh won the 19-team event with a 597 for the 36-hole championship, seven strokes in front of Drexel. Iona was third (605), followed by Central Connecticut (607) and Army and Hofstra.
Christopher Crawford of Drexel claimed medalist honors with a tournament total of one-under-par 143. He was the lone goler to break par for the championship.
Hill tied for 10th after shooting a two-over-par on Tuesday to finish at 149 for the championship. Plunkett and Matt Philie tied for 18th at 152. Plunkett had rounds of 78 and 74 while Philie shot 74 and 78. Brandon Baerwaldt tied for 50th following an 81 and Harrison Florence closed with a 79 to tie for 56th.
Army will return to action Sunday with the Last Chance Classic at West Point Golf Course, a 36-hole event.
