Getting To Know Harrison Florence
I chose West Point because?
I wanted to attend an institution that would challenge me and develop me as a person and a leader. I chose West Point for the outstanding academics as well as the character development aspect of the academy.
What makes Army golf so special? Everyone on the team brings their own unique personality to the table. The diversity and differing backgrounds allows each of us to learn something from each other.
Before every round I? I finish my warm-up on the putting green with my two-ball putter. "Two-ball, two putt, too easy."
The longest drive I ever hit was? As the great Matt "Steak" Philie says, "Drive for show, Putt for dough."
If I could play only one club it would be? 9 iron
I chose my major because? I enjoy learning about the effects of personal choices on the country as a whole. What each consumer decides has the ability to change the policies of an entire nation.
My dream foursome includes? Myself, my dad, Tiger Woods, and John F. Kennedy
I am most looking forward to playing? The Army-Navy match. There's nothing like the Army-Navy rivalry and I'm looking forward to playing in the famous Ryder Cup format against the middies.
Favorite course to play on the Simulator? St. Andrews because I think that's the only one I've ever played.
In 20 years I will be? Retired from the Army, living on a lake and water skiing on glassy water every morning.
