WEST POINT, N.Y. - San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl has set its lineup of teams for six years, beginning in 2014, bowl officials announced today, and it includes Army.

Army will meet a team from the Mountain West Conference in 2015 if bowl eligible.

"We are grateful for the hard work of Executive Director Bruce Binkowski and his staff and are looking forward to showcasing Army football in San Diego in 2015," said Army Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan. "Bruce and his team do a wonderful job with this game and we are excited to have an agreement for a bowl game in 2015."

The Mountain West will continue as the anchor conference for the bowl game each year through 2019.  MW opponents during the term shall include Navy, Army, BYU and teams from the Mid-American Conference (MAC).

2014: MW vs. Navy
2015: MW vs. Army
2016: MW vs. BYU
2017: MW vs. MAC
2018: MW vs. BUY
2019: MW vs. MAC

"The SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl has been a great addition to the local college football sports scene since its inception in 2005," said Bill Geppert, president of the 2013 bowl game.  "We are thrilled to continue the tradition of showcasing exciting football, spectacular pageantry and a tremendous economic boost for San Diego's tourism industry through 2019."

Since 2005, the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl has generated $77 million in economic impact for the San Diego region.

The 2013 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl kicks off Thursday, Dec. 26 at Qualcomm Stadium.  Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. (PT).  This year's game will feature a team from the Mountain West against a MAC opponent.  The game will be televised nationally on ESPN.

Army has previously announced a bowl agreement with the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl in 2014 and 2017 provided the team is bowl eligible.

Army claimed the 2010 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl championship with a 16-14 victory over SMU at Gerald Ford Stadium in Dallas.
