WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army-Navy Game Presented By USAA, already the top football rivalry game in the country, will continue to have an expanded presence on Social Media, leading up to, during and following the annual service academy matchup.

The Army-Navy Game, will take place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Dec. 14 with kickoff set for 3 p.m.

Once again, fans will have the opportunity to follow and participate in a host of new initiatives surrounding the event. Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube will all be utilized to showcase this rivalry in the weeks leading up to the game as well as on game day itself.

Scavenger hunts and trivia contests, online polls, blog posts, online chats, interaction and spirit video contests and photo submission elements are all part of the initiatives. A brief description of all initiatives is listed below, while detailed information will be announced separately as game day nears.

Fans are encouraged to use the hash tag #ArmyNavy in all their Social Media discussions.

Social Media Suite
In a new twist added this year, fans will be selected to participate in the #ArmyNavy Social Media Suite, a branded area inside the press box. Fans who win the contest will have the opportunity to populate the social media channels and share their insights and experiences. To be entered to win, fans must tweet their favorite Army-Navy Game memory to
@Army_Navy_Game or post and share to the Facebook page why they should be selected.

Scavenger Hunt
The first clues to the seven-day scavenger hunt in the host city will be tweeted on Dec. 5 and also listed on the official Facebook page. each day. When fans find the items, they are encouraged to tweet a photo to @Army_Navy_Game or email a photo to armynavyfootballgame@gmail.com. The name of each day’s winner will then be entered in a random drawing to receive four tickets to this year’s game, four on-field, pregame passes and a parking pass.

Trivia Contest
A trivia contest will begin on Monday, Nov. 11. Questions will be tweeted and listed on the Army Navy Football Game Facebook page beginning 30 days prior to the game. The names of those submitting correct answers will be entered into a drawing for four tickets to this year’s game, four pregame on-field passes and a parking pass. Fans can submit one answer each day.

Spirit Video Contest
Fans will also have an opportunity to participate in the popular spirit videos around the football game. Fans can send their spirit videos to armynavyfootballgame@gmail.com and they will be posted to youtube.com/ArmyNavyFootballGame. The top videos will be posted on the Army Navy Football Game Facebook page for a fan vote, and a winning video from both Army and Navy will be chosen to be played on the Lincoln Financial Field video board during the game.  The producer of the winning video from each side will also win two tickets to this year’s game, two pregame on-field passes and a parking pass. Spirit videos should be no longer than 30 seconds.

Photo Submissions
Fans are encouraged to send in their photos as well to be used in Facebook albums and Pinterest boards. Spirit photos, game action, memories of the game and other pertinent photos can be sent to armynavyfootballgame@gmail.com. A game day photo contest is planned as well.

Share Your Memories
A memories section will be added to Tumblr and armynavygame.com allowing players, fans and coaches to share their memories of the rivalry. Fans can submit their favorite Army-Navy memories to armynavyfootballgame@gmail.com and they will be posted to a host of social media outlets from there.

Fan Polls
The armynavygame.com website will begin listing fan polls, with a new question posted each week with the first poll set for Nov. 18.

Live Chats
A host of folks associated with the game, including current and former players, will be available for online chats leading up to the game and on the day of the contest as well.

Game Day Initiatives
In addition to the game lead-up, a bevy of activities are planned for during and after the game.

A Social Media Center will be established in the USAA Fan Fest area at HeadHouse Plaza at Lincoln Financial Field and photo, Twitter contests and scavenger hunts will be conducted in the fan fest area and around the stadium on game day.

Facebook albums and Pinterest boards will be built during the game as well with fans encouraged to submit their photos for inclusion throughout the day. Fans can interact at @Army_Navy_Game as well.

Postgame Initiatives
Following the game, flip-cam coverage of the many events surrounding the game will be provided by players, cadets and midshipmen as well as fans that submit clips.
