Joining Rhoden in the first team backfield was Terry Baggett and Joe Walker. Richie Smith also got some rep in the backfield with the No. 1 offense.
Santiago and Schurr each led scoring drives with Santiago earning his in the opening drive of the scrimmage, which led to a short field goal from Daniel Grochowski. Schurr's drive came later and it was highlighted by a long run from Rhoden and a big catch from Justin Newman. Schurr capped off the drive with a scrambling touchdown run.
Josh Jenkins was the highlight on special teams with three long returns. He returned a kickoff 50 yards to get to the opponent's 40-yard line and had a pair of nice punt returns as well.

"I just try and do my best out there. My offensive line did a great job blocking and worked their butts off. Coaches have been doing a great job teaching us on our assignments on the field. It was a good team effort today. "

"We definitely feed off each other. We also feed off players like Richie Smith, Nick Schebler, Corey Wilkerson and Morgan Willcox. We all feed off each other in our group meetings and work hard to make each other better."

"I felt ok out there today. I'm just getting back into the swing of things after not taking reps for a couple of days. Today was my first live reps. I mean we get time in practice during our interaction period, but today felt good. I feel we can grow from today. We didn't come out here with the fire we needed and we realized that as a team that we need to get better and we can't just come out like we did today and expect to do well in two weeks. "
