TEAM NOTES
► Army snapped a six-game losing streak against Air Force. The Black Knights’ last win in the series was during the 2005 season. It also snapped an eight-game skid against the Falcons at Michie Stadium (first win since 1996).
► The Black Knights ended a 13-game losing streak in the Commander In Chief’s Trophy series. It was Army’s first win during CIC play since a win over the Falcons in 2005.
► Army ended a four-game skid during the month of November.
► The Black Knights’ win set up a winner-take-all showdown with Navy on Dec. 8 in Philadelphia. The winner of that game will be 2-0 in service academy games and take the CIC Trophy.
► Army won the turnover battle, 5-0. The Black Knights are now 6-1 since 2009 when holding a +3 turnover margin or better.
► The Black Knights improved to 5-5 at home in the last two seasons.
► Army’s 20-point margin of victory was its largest against the Falcons since a 47-24 win on Nov. 8, 1980. It was the Black Knights’ margin of victory in a CIC game since a 27-7 win over Navy on Dec. 6, 1986.

OFFENSIVE NOTES
► Army ran for 314 yards and four touchdowns against the Falcons. It was the fifth straight game Army cracked the 300-yard mark.
► The Black Knights threw for a season-high 100 yards. It was the most output through the air since 124 yards versus Miami (Ohio) last season.
► Army’s 41 points improved its record to 5-1 since the start of 2009 when reaching the 40-point mark.
► Army held the ball for 36:02, improving to 8-7 since the start of 2009 when having at least 35 minutes of possession.
► Senior QB Trent Steelman ran for 101 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries. He moved into third place on the Black Knights’ career rushing ledger with 2,983 yards, passing Glenn Davis’s total of 2,959. Steelman also passed Tim Tebow (Florida) and Dan LeFevour on the NCAA quarterback career rushing list. He is tied for 15th all-time with Northern Illinois’ Chandler Harnish.
► Steelman reached the 100-yard mark for the third straight game. He is tied for fourth on Army’s career list with 10 100-yard efforts. he is just one behind Tory Crawford’s record for 100-yard games by an Army quarterback.
► Steelman became only the second Army player to score 40 rushing touchdowns in their career. He is just three behind Davis, the program’s all-time leader with 43 rushing touchdowns.
► Steelman moved into sole possession of third place on the Army career scoring ledger. His two touchdowns and two-point conversion pushed his career total to 248, just two behind Craig Stopa for second place. Davis is the all-time leader with 354 points.
► Steelman’s 201 yards of total offense moved him into second place on the Army career list. He now has 5,533 yards, passing Leamon Hall’s career mark of 5,524. Zac Dahman holds the record with 6,498.
► Steelman ran for 100 yards and threw for 100 yards for the second time in his career and first since running for 102 and passing for 115 against Rutgers in 2010.
► Junior RB Raymond Maples accounted for 126 yards from scrimmage, running for 73 and catching one pass for 53 yards. It was Army’s longest passing play of the season.
► Sophomore WR Chevaughn Lawrence extended his streak of games with at least one catch to seven games. It is the longest streak by an Army player since Austin Barr did it in eight straight during the 2010 season.

DEFENSIVE NOTES
► Army held the nations’ No. 2 ranked rushing offense to just 103 yards. Air Force entered the game, posting 366.25 yards per game.
► Army limited Cody Getz to just 23 yards on 14 carries. Dietz entered the game ranked fourth in the nation in rushing at 132.57 yards per game.
► Army allowed a season-low 21 points.
► Army forced five turnovers, the most since five takeaways against Duke on Sept. 25, 2010.
► The Black Knights scored its first defensive touchdown of the season when senior LB Nate Combs fell on an errant shotgun snap in the end zone. It was Army’s first defensive score since Combs returned a fumble 52 yards against Fordham last season.
► Combs intercepted Air Force on the final play of the game. It was Army’s third interception of the game, and Combs’ first career interception.
► Combs had missed the last two games with a shoulder injury. He made two tackles for loss to run his season total to a team-high 11.0.
► Freshman FS Brandon Fusilier-Jeffires registered his first career interception.
► Sophomore LB Geoffery Bacon made 13 tackles, his sixth double-digit game of the season. Bacon also recorded his second career interception.
► Sophomore DT Robert Kough made a career-high 3.0 tackles for loss.

SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
► Freshman K Daniel Grochowski was 2-for-3 on field goal tries, hitting a 20-yarder and a 36-yarder with just three seconds left in the first half. His lone miss came from 53 yards out.
