TEAM NOTES
► Army lost for the first time versus Ball State at Michie Stadium (2-1). The all-time series is now tied at 2-2.
► The Black Knights' seventh loss officially eliminated the team from bowl consideration.
► Army has now lost eight straight games to Mid-American Conference opponents. The Black Knights went 0-4 in 2011 and 0-4 in 2012 versus the MAC.
► Army has lost three straight games since its victory over Boston College.
► The Black Knights dropped to 8-72 in its last 80 games trailing at the half and its 24th straight game when trailing after three quarters.
► Army dropped to 5-25 since 2009 when either even or behind in turnover margin. Army forced one turnover and committed one turnover against the Cardinals.

OFFENSIVE NOTES
► Army ran for 341 yards, its fourth straight 300-yard effort and sixth time it's reached the 300-yard mark in eight games.
► Senior QB Trent Steelman (101) and junior FB Hayden Tippett (100) each ran for 100 yards against Ball State. It was the fifth time this season the Black Knights had multiple 100-yard rushers, passing the old Academy mark of four such games in 1948.
► Army lost for the first time versus Ball State at Michie Stadium (2-1). The all-time series is now tied at 2-2.
► Tippett's 100-yard effort was a career-high, as were his 20 carries and his long rush of 26 yards. He also scored his first touchdown of the season.
► Tippett is the fifth Army player to rush for 100 yards this season, the most since the 1999 team also had five players reach the century mark.
► Steelman moved past Ell Roberson (Kansas State) into 23rd place on the NCAA quarterback rushing ledger. Steelman has rushed for 2,882  yards in his career, the fourth most in Army history.
► Steelman moved into a tie for fifth place in Army history with his ninth career 100-yard game. He is tied with Charlie Jarvis and teammate Raymond Maples. He is two behind Tory Crawford, the program record holder for quarterbacks.
► Junior RB Raymond Maples moved into ninth place on Army's all-time rushing list with 2,108 yards.
► Army lost for the first time versus Ball State at Michie Stadium (2-1). The all-time series is now tied at 2-2.
► Senior RB Malcolm Brown has scored a touchdown in each of the last three games.
► Sophomore WR Chevaughn Lawrence has caught a pass in six straight outings.
► Army was 5-for-15 on third down against Ball State and is just 14-for-44 in the last three weeks.

DEFENSIVE NOTES
► Army's opponents have scored on their opening possession in six of the eight games, including Ball State on Saturday. Army is 0-6 in those games, and 1-1 when getting a stop on its foe's initial drive.
► Freshman LB Alex Meier registered his first career sack. Meier's quarterbiack takedown halted a Ball State drive and forced Steve Schott's 49-yard field goal in the second quarter.
► Junior LB Justin Trimble's second quarter interception was the first of his career.  
► Junior LB/DE Jarrett Mackey made a career-high 13 tackles to lead the Black Knights.

SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
► Freshman K Daniel Grochowski tied his career-high with two field goal. His lone miss ended a run of four straight made field goals.
