TEAM NOTES
Army entered the season with six straight wins on its opponents' home fields, but has lost four straight road games this season.

Vanderbilt defeated Army for the first time since 1991. The Commodores now lead the all-time series 5-4.

Army is 7-15-2 all-time versus the Southeastern Conference. The Black Knights are 13-15-1 all-time versus teams that currently comprise the SEC.

OFFENSIVE NOTES
Junior SB Malcolm Brown rushed for his second touchdown this season in the first quarter, an 11-yard score.

Junior Matt Villanti was announced with the starters at right guard, his first start of the season.

Junior FB Jared Hassin made his first reception of the season, an 18-yard gain in the second quarter.

Freshman QB Angel Santiago made his first collegiate appearance under center.

Santiago scored his first career touchdown with a one-yard run in the third quarter.

Freshman FB Larry Dixon rushed for a career-high 92 yards. His 57-yard rush in the third quarter is a career best.

Junior QB Trent Steelman made his 32nd straight start on Saturday, extending his own Academy record for consecutive starts by a quarterback. Steelman has started every game since arriving at West Point.

Steelman moved past Greg King and into ninth place on Army's all-time rushing yards list with 2003.

Steelman moved past Tory Crawford and Ronnie McAda into sixth place on Army's all-time total offense list with 3,982 yards.

Steelman moved past Crawford into fourth place on Army's all-time rushing attempts list with 517.

DEFENSIVE NOTES
Senior LB Steven Erzinger made his 32nd consecutive start. Erzinger is tied with QB Trent Steelman for the team lead on the games started ledger.

Senior LB Andrew Rodriguez made his first interception of the season. He now has three for his career.

Freshman LB Geoffrey Bacon recorded his first career interception and returned it 70 yards for a touchdown. It marked Army's first defensive touchdown since Josh McNary returned a fumble for a score versus SMU in last year's Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl. It marked Army's first interception return for a touchdown since Donovan Travis returned one to pay dirt against VMI last season.

Bacon set a career standard with 13 tackles. His previous best was nine opposite Tulane Oct. 1.

SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
Junior P Chris Boldt established his career high with a 65-yard punt in the second quarter, eclipsing his previous best by a yard.
