TEAM

  • Army is now 0-11 all-time at Lincoln Financial Field. Army has dropped three games to Temple and eight to Navy at the home of the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles.
  • Temple now leads the all-time series with Army, 7-4, including six straight victories.
  • Army is 0-2 on grass surfaces this season.
  • Army has its bye week next week and plays at Air Force on Nov. 2.


OFFENSE

  • Ejay Tucker made his first career start at wide receiver.
  • Center Ryan Powis started his 15th consecutive game and the 25th of his career, the most of anyone on the offense.
  • Army started the same five men on the line for the eighth consecutive game: Michael Kime (left tackle), Stephen Shumaker (left guard), Powis, Zach Reichert (right guard) and Justin Gilbert (right tackle).  
  • For the first time in three games, Army turned the ball over. Army had gone 293 plays without a turnover since the Wake Forest contest on Sept. 21.
  • For just the second time this season, Army punted on its opening possession. Army has scored on its first possession in six of eight touchdowns with four touchdowns and two field goals.
  • Army played three quarterbacks. Starter Angel Santiago was injured in the second quarter and Kelvin White and Tevin Long both took snaps.
  • Patrick Laird caught his first pass of the season, a 14-yard touchdown from Kelvin White.
  • Matt Giachinta established his career-highs with five carries for 21 yards.
  • Kelvin White rushed for a 36-yard gain the third quarter, his career-long rush.


DEFENSE

  • Jarrett Mackey made the 24th start of his career and seventh consecutive. Mackey leads the defense in career starts.
  • Seniors Colby Miller and Kyle Maxwell made their first career starts. Maxwell was announced as the starter at right end and Miller at mike linebacker.
  • Mike Ugenyi started at left end after working at right end.
  • Colby Miller established his career-best with 16 tackles, including two tackles for losses of four yards.
  • Justin Trimble intercepted his second pass in as many games with a second quarter pick.


SPECIAL TEAMS

  • Alex Tardieu established career bests in punts (7) and yardage (286)
  • Daniel Grochowski converted both of his point after touchdowns attempts and is now 23-23 on the season.
