TIP-OFF TIDBITS
► Army returns home Saturday to face Houston Baptist. The Black Knights and Huskies met for the first time last season in Houston, a 95-86 Army victory.
► The Black Knights are trying to stop a three-game skid. Army has lost to NJIT, Delaware and Notre Dame, giving up at least 89 points in all three outings.
► Army has never lost three non-conference home games in one season under head coach Zach Spiker.
► Sophomore point guard Dylan Cox has stepped up his offensive game in the last two outings. Cox matched his career high with 14 points versus Delaware. He followed that with 11 points at Notre Dame. Cox just missed a double-double with a team-high eight rebounds. He also dished out five assists, blocked a shot and made one steal against the Fighting Irish.
► Sophomore center Kevin Ferguson has also reached double figures in back-to-back outings.  He posted his first career double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, both career highs, versus Delaware. At Notre Dame, he scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds. Ferguson is Army’s second-leading scorer at 9.0 points per game. He also leads the team with .692 field goal percentage and 13 blocked shots.
► Despite a season-low seven points at Notre Dame, sophomore Kyle Wilson remains on top of the Army scoring ledger at 15.4 points per game. Wilson has scored in double figures four times, including a pair of 20-plus games. He scored a career-high 26 points versus NJIT.
► Army is trying to break out of its three-point shooting slump to start the season. The Black Knights are just 41-for-160 (.256) from distance through the first five games. The Black Knights have shot at least 35.5 percent in each of the last three seasons. Army’s best game from behind the arc came against NJIT when it connected on 13 of its 39 attempts (.333). The Black Knights are 7-for-46 (.152) from three-point range in their last two games.
► Ten of the 13 Black Knights that have played in at least four games this season are underclassmen — six sophomores and four freshmen.
