► The Black Knights have just five non-conference home games in 2012-13. Army won its first home game of the season, 85-76 versus Binghamton, on Nov. 16. The Black Knights won’t play another game at Christl Arena until Dec. 4 versus Hudson Valley rival Marist.
► Army is off to its third 3-1 start in the last four seasons. The Black Knights started 5-1 in 2009-10 and 4-1 in 2010-11.
► The Black Knights are 7-2 in their last nine non-conference games. The Black Knights are 28-23 against non-conference teams under head coach Zach Spiker. Army has won at least seven non-league games in each of the past three seasons.
► Senior forward Ella Ellis led the Black Knights with 15 points in its win over St. Francis (N.Y.). Saturday’s game is the Bulldogs’ home opener.
► Yale lost more than 30 points per game in production with the graduation of Greg Mangano (18.2) and Reggie Willhite (12.1). Austin Morgan is one of three returning starters, and the only returner who scored in double figures last season (11.8).
► Morgan is on top of the Yale scoring ledger through six games with an 11.3 points-per-game scoring average. He leads the team with 14 three-pointers (14-40), and is the team’s top playmaker with 3.0 assists per game.

SPIKER REACHES FORTY

► Entering 2009-10, Army had lost 16 straight games when trailing at halftime, but have nine such wins since (9-29), including the home win over Colgate last season.

Army has a week to prepare for its next game, a road trip to Bryant. Tip-off in Smithfield, R.I., is set for 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1. The Black Knights are 5-0 all-time against the Bulldogs.
