TIP-OFF TIDBITS
► Army is back on the road Sunday afternoon when it travels to Notre Dame. While it will be the Black Knights' third game away from West Point, Sunday's contest will be their first true road game. Army played two neutral games, facing Air Force and The Citadel at VMI in the All-Military Classic.
► The Black Knights have lost their last two games to NJIT and Delaware, both home defeats. Kyle Wilson averaged 20.0 points per game during Army's homestand, scoring a career-high 26 against the Highlanders and 14 points versus the Blue Hens. Dylan Cox matched his career high with 14 points against Delaware, while Kevin Ferguson added 14 points and 11 rebounds, his first career double-double.
► The Army offense is averaging 77.8 points per game in the early going. The Black Knights have scored at least 68 points in every game, posting 84 in a win over The Citadel and 85 in a four-point loss to NJIT. Army's offensive output has come despite struggling from three-point range. The Black Knights are shooting just 26.7 percent from deep (36-135). Army has shot at least 35.5 percent from deep in each of the last three seasons, posting the only three 200-plus three-point seasons in Academy history. Army is shooting 62.0 percent from inside the three-point line (72-116).
► The Black Knights have utilized a balanced attack on the offensive end. Wilson is the only Army player in double figures at 17.5 points per game, but he is one of eight players scoring at least 5.3 points per contest. Wilson leads the team with at least 10 points in all four games. Five players have scored in double figures at least once, including freshman Tanner Omlid who has done it twice in his first four collegiate games. Omlid led Army with 18 in his collegiate debut and scored 11 points versus Delaware.
► Army started five sophomores versus the Blue Hens. Six of the seven players who have started at least once this season are members of the Class of 2016. That group has accounted for 66 percent of the team's points and 71 percent of its rebounds.
► Ferguson has blocked four shots in three of the first four games. In only 35 career games, he already ranks sixth on Army's all-time blocked shots list with 48. He set the season record with 35 as a plebe.
