ABOUT ARMY
► The Black Knights and Eagles have met in the postseason three times. American has won all three meetings, including back-to-back semifinal wins at Bender Arena in 2008 and 2009. The first meeting was a 2004 quarterfinal match up in Upper Marlboro, Md.

► Army ended the regular season with a 74-72 overtime loss to Lehigh at Christl Arena. The Mountain Hawks hit a three-pointer with 10.3 seconds left to claim the victory. Junior F Ella Ellis and senior G Julian Simmons led the Black Knights with 14 points each. Both player reached milestones in the contest. Ellis posted the 19th 500-point season in Army history, while Simmons made two three-pointers to become only the second Black Knight ever to make 60 three-pointers in a season three times.

► The Black Knights placed two players on the All-Patriot League teams. Ellis was a first-team selection, Army’s first since Jarell Brown in 2008, while freshman G Maxwell Lenox was part of the Patriot League All-Rookie Team. The two selections mark the first time since 1999 that the Black Knights have had both a first-team player and an all-rookie pick. Army has now had at least one member of the Patriot League All-Rookie Team in three of the lasts four seasons, including the last two. It is the first time the Black Knights have had back-to-back all-rookie team members (Josh Herbeck, 2011) since 1998 and 1999.

► Ellis ended the regular season with a team-high 17.7 points per game scoring average, which ranks third in the Patriot League. Ellis is only the second Army player to score 500 points, grab 130 rebounds and hand out 50 assists in the same season (Randy Cozzens, 1984-85). Ellis 512 points this season ranks 17th on the Black Knights’ single-season ledger. Lenox has 92 assists this season, the first Army plebe to hand out at least 90 assists in a season since 2000-01 (J.P. Spatola, 96). He led all Patriot League freshmen with 31 assists.

► Sophomore G Josh Herbeck has made 75 three-pointers this season, the sixth-best season total in Army history. Herbeck led the Patriot League with 40 three-pointers during conference games. His 113 career three-pointers are the most by an Army player through their first two seasons.
