CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Fans who can’t make the trip to Virginia to cheer on the Army baseball team will have plenty of options to follow all of the action. Twitter, radio, multi-media reports, video feeds, photo galleries, live stats and more will be offered as the Black Knights embark on their sixth NCAA appearance.
Army (29-21) drew the Charlottesville, Va. Regional, and will play top-seeded Virginia (47-10) in the opening game of the regional at 1 p.m. on Friday. #2 UNC Wilmington (37-21) and #3 Elon (32-28) will meet in the other opening-round game at 6 p.m.
Radio coverage of all of the Army games will be offered in the Hudson Valley on WALL 1340 AM or WEOK 1390 AM and online at goARMYsports.com. The pregame show begins 15 minutes before first pitch.
Twitter updates will be offered throughout the trip at twitter.com/Army_Baseball, while postgame interviews can be heard at goARMYsports.com.

Senior catcher and captain Andrew Johnson will offer a blog, “Catcher’s Corner,” on the journey as well at goARMYsports.com.

ESPN3 will provide a video stream of the games as well. Dave Weekley will provide play-by-play with John Gregory serving as color analyst.
The 64 teams in the NCAA field will open play Friday, June 1, at 16 regional sites across the country. The winners of each of the 16 regionals advance to the best-of-three Super Regionals, taking place June 7-10. The eight Super Regional winners travel to the College World Series to be held June 15-26 at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb.
