WEST POINT, N.Y. – Pitcher Gunnar Carroll was a first-team selection and pitchers Alex Robinett and Nick Dignacco, infielder Kris Lindner and outfielder Mark McCants were second-team choices as College Sports Madness released its Patriot League All-Conference teams.
The staff at College Sports Madness selected the honorees.
Army won the Patriot League regular-season championship and finished the season with a 33-18 record, including a 15-5 mark in the Patriot League.
Carroll, a senior right-handed co-captain, led the Army pitching staff with an 8-3 mark. He posted a 2.20 earned run average, struck out 52 and walked 12 in 82.0 innings of work. He was the lone Army selection on the first team.
Robinett, a junior right-handed pitcher, registered a 2.02 earned run average, posted a 6-3 mark, struck out 85 and walked 26 after throwing 89.0 innings. Dignacco, a senior left-hander, went 6-3, collected a 2.34 ERA, struck out 70 and walked 17 in 80.2 innings. Lindner hit .270 in his freshman season, playing 41 games at second base. He had 34 hits, scored 25 runs and knocked in 15 runs. McCants, a junior outfielder/designated hitter, scored 28 runs, collected 40 hits, knocked in 17 runs, doubled six times, tripled once and hit a home run in 50 games played.
