Nineteen Army runners were recognized by the Patriot League on Wednesday, earning spots on the Academic Honor Roll. The Black Knights were among a list of 107 women's and 72 men's cross country competitors to be recognized, having earned at least a 3.20 grade point average during the 2011 fall semester.

Army cross country concluded its season on Saturday with a pair of 16th-place finishes at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships. The Black Knight men tallied 436 points in a field of 33 teams while the women registered 518 points in a field of 36. Syracuse swept both men's and women's team titles.

Army cross country will continue the 2011 season on Saturday, as the Black Knights head to Amherst, N.Y., for the NCAA Northeast Regional. Hosted by the University at Buffalo, the men's 10,000-meter race is slated for a noon start and will be followed by the women's 6K meet at 1:15 p.m., both set at Audubon Golf Course.
