Black Knight Men Sweep Quad Meet; Army Women Post 1-1-1 Mark
2010-11 (SOPHOMORE): Picked up where he left off as a freshman, dominating the freestyle sprint events ... established new personal best times in both the 50 free and 100 free at the Patriot League Championships (Feb. 17) ... placed eighth at Patriots in the 50 free with a time of 21.03 ... clocked a career-best time of 20.78 in the preliminaries of that event ... that time ranks ninth on Army's all-time top 10 list ... finished 11th in the "B" final of the 100-yard freestyle at Patriots, touching the wall in a personal-best time of 46.13 ... times in both sprints were the fastest recorded by an Army swimmer all season ... won the 50 free four times during the year, taking gold against Marist and Syracuse (Oct. 15), Massachusetts (Oct. 23), Lehigh (Jan. 14) and Drexel (Jan. 21) ... authored four runner-up showings in the 50 free, placing second versus Rowan (Oct. 2), Columbia (Nov. 20), Bucknell (Jan. 15) and in the quad-meet hosted by George Mason (Jan. 22) ... added four second-place efforts in the 100 free, finished runner-up in that event opposite Marist and Syracuse (Oct. 15), Massachusetts (Oct. 23), Lehigh (Jan. 14) and Colgate and Lafayette (Jan. 29) ... totaled 16 top-three finishes in the freestyle sprints.
2009-10 (FRESHMAN): Dominated the freestyle sprints early in the season before an injury derailed his freshman season ... posted the third-fastest time in both the 50 free and 100 free, despite missing the majority of the season ... began his career by sweeping the 50 free (21.60) and 100 free (47.41) in the Black Knights' season-opening meet versus Vermont and Stony Brook (Oct. 9) ... helped the Army 400 free relay team to a win in that meet as well ... swept the 50 free and 100 free versus Massachusetts (Oct. 24) ... set a season best in the 100 free (46.60) ... placed runner-up in both the 50 free and 100 free at Columbia (Nov. 21) ... clocked season-best time in the 50 free (21.23) ... finished second in both the 50 free and 100 free in Army's win over Connecticut (Nov. 7).
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Virginia Class AA State Champion in the 50 freestyle as a senior at Charlottesville High School ... also finished third in the 100 free at states ... district and regional champion in the 50 and 100 freestyles ... served as senior captain for coach Ron Price ...
