Black Knights Digital Network
WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army Athletic Association already has a Twitter account with more than 5,000 followers, a Facebook page with more than 35,000 "likes," a YouTube channel, mobile applications and Pinterest page. Now, all of those assets, and more, will be housed under the Black Knights Digital Network, Army Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Boo Corrigan, announced today. Army is one of the first major universities to launch such an endeavor.
"It makes sense to re-brand our efforts and house them under one umbrella," said Corrigan. "Our athletic communications, marketing and multimedia staffs have done a tremendous job in generating original content and have grown our offerings to necessitate this network."
The Black Knights Digital Network will include digital, mobile and social online assets and make it easier for fans to track their favorite teams and interact with fellow supporters.
Fans are encouraged to log onto http://www.goarmysports.com/multimedia/digital-network.html. "The Black Knights Digital Network will ensure our initiatives are working together and that we are providing our fans with the premium content that have come to expect," said Corrigan. "Whether you get score updates on Twitter, watch our features on ITT Exelis Knight Vision, participate in our fan polls on Facebook or share images on Pinterest, this will create one place for all of our fans to gather."
