WEST POINT, N.Y. - Gary Kushnirovich and Donald Van Velzer each earned a point for Army at first and second singles, but Binghamton took the four remaining singles matches and the doubles point to hand the Army men's tennis team (1-2) its second loss in as many days.
Against the top ranked player in the region in Binghamton's Sven Vloedgraven, Kushnirovich gained his fourth win (4-0) at No.1 singles in 2010. Kushnirovich defeated Vloedgraven in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4.
At No.2, reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Year Donald Van Velzer rallied from a second set loss to notch Army's second point of the day, 7-5, 1-6, 7-5.
