2009: Surpassed previous personal best by over four feet to lead 1-2 sweep of Navy in the shot put with IC4A qualifying mark of 53-1 ... placed third at Patriot League Championships with shot put mark of 51-8 ¼ ... also landed personal best weight throw of 52-1 ¼ at Patriots ... led Army with a second-place finish in the shot put at the NYU Fastrack Invitational with a top mark of 50-6 ¼ ... won shot put at Dick Shea Invitational with mark of 49-11 ... completed 1-2 scoring sweep of shot put at Navy with second-place finish (48-7 ½) ... placed second in the shot put at the outdoor Patriot League championships with outdoor-best mark of 51-10 ... concluded season with mark of 49-8 ½ at the IC4A Championships.

2008: Opened with fourth place shot put throw of 46-4 at Crowell Open ... improved to 46-4 to earn ninth place finish in top flight at the Gotham Cup ... placed second in both the shot put (45-2 ½) and weight (44-7) at the Army Open ... scored at Navy in weight with toss of 45-3 ¾ ...posted top mark of indoor season in the shot put (49-3 ½) and weight (46-4) at Patriot League Championships ...  landed mark of 48-11 ½ in shot put to place second at the USF Bulls Invitational to open the outdoor season ... finished third at Dick Shea Invite in the shot put with mark of 45-7 ½ ... placed ninth in the event at the Patriot League Championships with mark of 48-0 ½.

2007: Debuted with fourth place finish in shot put at Army Open with 41-5 ½ throw ... posted top discus throw of season at Penn State Invitational with mark of 126-0 to finish ninth ... had mark of 45-11 ¼ in shot put at Yale Invitational to place ninth.

High School: Graduated from La Cueva High School in 2006 ... earned three varsity letters in track and field ... won the state championship in the shot put ... picked up three additional varsity letters in football ... helped lead team to a pair of state titles.

Personal: Given name is Matthew P Nulk ... son of Vince and Mary Nulk ... has two brothers ... brother, Mike, is a 2007 USMA graduate and former thrower on the Army track and field team ... brother, Brian, also attends the U.S. Military Academy ...
