Track Bio

Last Season: Oestmann was the second Army runner to finish the Patriot League Championships, improving significantly from her previous year’s performance. She was an important part of the Black Knights squad, scoring in all the races she competed in.

2008 Outlook: Oestmann will look to build off of her strong Patriot League Championships performance.  As one of the team’s top runners, her improvements will pay off big in the team standings.

The Book on Oestmann: Oestmann is a graduate of Burns High School in Cheyenne, Wyo. where she was a member of the honor roll for four years. Athletically, she earned letters in volleyball, cross country and track and field. Oestmann picked up all-state honors in cross country, as well as both indoor and outdoor track and field. Last season, she won the 800-meter run at the Army-Navy outdoor meet. She attributes her success to her parents’ love and encouragement.
