WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army attackman Justin Bokmeyer and defenseman Jay Larson were selected to play in the 67th-Annual United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) North-South Senior All-Star Game, to be played as part of a triple-header this Friday, May 23rd at Harvard Stadium in Cambridge, Mass.

Following the Division III game at 1:00 p.m., Bokmeyer, Larson and the North squad will faceoff with the South team in the Div. I/II contest at 4:00 p.m. The NLL Boston Cannons and Rochester Rattlers will finish things off at 7:00 p.m.

Bokmeyer, who also served as a team captain, scored a team-best 24 goals and tied for the team lead with 33 points. He was named the Patriot League Player of the Week on Feb. 19 after a five-goal, one-assist effort in a season-opening 16-3 win versus VMI, and garnered the award again on Apr. 14 after a three-goal performance in the Black Knights’ 9-6 victory over archrival Navy. Bokmeyer also received the Lt. Ray Enners Memorial Alumni Saber Award that goes to the Black Knight that picks up the most ground balls in the Army-Navy game.

A second-team All-Patriot League selection last year and a preseason All-America pick by Inside Lacrosse entering the season, Larson was awarded first-team all-conference honors this year. He was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week on March 31 following two solid performances in an 8-7 victor over No. 12 Hofstra (Mar. 25) and a 13-9 win over Colgate (Mar. 29). He was a big reason why Army ranked fourth nationally in scoring defense with a 7.13 average.

A total of 130 Black Knights have been selected to participate in the annual North-South Senior All-Star Game since the inaugural game was played in Baltimore in 1940. Army has had at least one player on the team in all but five years, while the game was not played in 1944 or 1945.

Army, which finished the season ranked No. 19 in the final USILA Coaches Poll, compiled a 9-6 record and won its first Patriot League regular season title with a 5-1 record. The Black Knights played six of the 14 teams that qualified for the NCAA Tournament, finishing with a 3-3 record against those teams.
