West Point Golf Course

Photo Gallery

The West Point Golf Course is just one of Army’s state-of-the-art sporting facilities. The course is a par 70, 6,036-yard course nestled in the rolling hills of the Hudson River Valley. One of the most scenic courses in New York, it was built in 1946 and designed by famed golf course architect Robert Trent Jones. The course was closed for two seasons in the mid-90’s for further renovations.

The West Point Golf Course re-opened in April 1997 in time to host the Black Knight Invitational. Each fall, the Black Knights host a tournament, and in the spring of 2001, Army welcomed the Patriot League Championship to West Point.

In 2002, The West Point Golf Course added its latest feature, the driving range.

Also located at the West Point Golf Course is the D’Orsa Short Game Area, donated in memory of Maj. Gen. Charles S. D’Orsa, USMA Class of 1932, in the spring of 2000.

This pratice area is solely for the use of the Black Knight golfers to work on their short game.
