Camp Program

The Army Tennis Camp program is offered to both overnight and day campers. On the court, we offer a teaching ratio of 5 students to one instructor and off-court the ratio is 8:1. The children participate in a safe, highly active, and fun-filled learning environment complete with extensive tennis instruction and match play. The campers are on the courts 2 ½ hours in the morning, 2 hours in the afternoon, and participate in fun tennis games in the evenings. In addition, the campers receive instruction on mental toughness, conditioning, strategy, rules, sportsmanship, nutrition and etiquette. Each camper will see a videotape analysis of his or her strokes. Campers are well supervised and the barracks

Facilities
Campers are housed in dormitory rooms operated by the United States Military Academy (beds and cots are used). Nutritious meals are provided in the West Point Club. Tennis activities are conducted on the varsity tennis twelve-court complex and the seven court indoor Lichtenberg complex. Free-time swimming is conducted with Delafield Pond under their life guard staff.

Cost
The weekly tuition fee is $650 for overnight campers and $560 for day campers. A non-refundable deposit of $400 is required with each application. The balance of payment is due June 1st. To ensure your spot is held, please make payment on time. A 20% discount is given to military personnel and West Point staff faculty

Rules and Regulations
All campers are required to comply with the Army Summer Camp guidelines that are put in place to ensure personal safety, room cleanliness and property damage reduction. The rules are discussed at opening session and are posted in the dormitory. Any camper found to be disruptive and unwilling to follow behavior guidelines will be sent home without refund. Because our camp is held on a US Military installation, all luggage will be inspected at check-in.

Age Groups
Boys and girls ages 9-17 are eligible to attend. All participants are divided into tennis groups based on age and tennis experience.

Insurance and Medical
The weekly tuition fee includes medical insurance that will supplement campers beyond their family insurance coverage. Keller Army Hospital, located at West Point, is available for all emergencies, and an athletic trainer is in attendance for the daily needs of campers.

Application Deadline
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis until the camp is full. Enrollment is capped at sixty so please register early to reserve a space.

Registration Time
Check-in time will be on Sunday from 1-2 pm at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center. Enter Stony Lonesome Gate. The tennis center is on the left side as you come down the hill. After check in we will bus everyone down to the dormitory area. We hope to begin our tennis program by 3:00 P.M. Checkout is Thursday night at 8:00 P.M. at the indoor courts following the final Davis Cup matches and graduation awards ceremony. Parents are welcome to attend both activities.

Dormitory Assignments
