WEST POINT, N.Y. - With exactly one month to go
until the Smartlink Day of Rivals on April 17, Inside Lacrosse has announced
that more than 12,000 tickets have been sold for the showcase event. The
college lacrosse double-header pits the two most historic rivalries in all of
lacrosse - Army/Navy and Maryland/Johns Hopkins - on the same stage at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
Last year's inaugural Day of Rivals drew 20,732 fans to a
rain-soaked M&T Bank Stadium on Easter weekend. This year the event slides
back a week on the calendar, and the games are set to be played in the evening
to better accommodate fans. Army and Navy will face-off at 4 p.m. followed by Maryland vs. Johns
Hopkins at 6:30 p.m.
In addition to the two college games, MIAA rivals St.
Mary's from Annapolis
and McDonogh will square off in a high school under card at 1 p.m. One ticket
gets you into all three games on the day.
Tickets for the Smartlink Day of Rivals are available for
purchase online at www.goARMYsports.com or by calling 1-877-TIX-ARMY. Representatives are available Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p m. Fans
