WEST POINT, N.Y. - The NCAA will
release the 2010 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships brackets Wednesday at
6 p.m. during a live video stream.
Each of the 10 weight classes
will have 33 wrestlers and the at-large selections and pairings will be announced
during the show Wednesday evening, available free of charge on ncaa.com.
Army seniors Matt Kyler and
Richard Starks secured automatic bids to nationals based upon their finishes at
the EIWA Championships last weekend. Kyler won his second championship and
Starks finished third as the two secured return trips to the national
tournament.
Kyler will be participating
in the NCAA championships for the fourth time and is seeking his second
All-American honors. Starks qualified for the NCAA's last year but did not
compete due to an injury. He is a three-time NCAA qualifier.
The 2010 NCAA Division I
Wrestling Championships are scheduled for March 18-20 at Qwest Center in Omaha,
Neb.
NCAA
Division I Wrestling Committee chair Brad Traviolia will provide the show's
introduction while Pat Tocci, Director of Administration and Public Relations
for the National Wrestling Coaches Association, will serve as the host as he
unveils each of the 10 brackets in the championships field.
